Anthropological Intelligence2: The Deployment and Neglect of Anthropology in the Second World War
This is book one of my Duke University Press trilogy (yeah, it was published before the second book, Threatening Anthropology, came out, but don't let that fool you). It delves into the political, moral, and ethical questions raised by anthropologists using knowledge gained from fieldwork for warfare. Because fascism is counter to many of anthropology's core findings and values, it was not surprising that so many American anthropologists used their knowledge in support of antifa, and there were many uses for anthropology as military and intelligence operations spread around the globe.
